In ICT we will be looking at spread sheets. We will look at the cost of keeping various species of animals in captivity in a zoo.
Have you ever visited a zoo ( perhaps Twycross or Dudley Zoo) ? If you have, what animals did you see?
What surroundings  where the animals kept in?
  

 We will continue to try and uplevel our writing . We will  be looking  at the Lost City of Atlantis to do this.

     

In Art and Design Technology we will designing and making bookmarks using cross stitch.
Have you or your family got any completed cross stitch designs that you may be allowed to bring into school and share with the rest of Year 5 as examples?  

This week we say goodbye and good luck to Father Dan. There will be a special Mass later this week.

This term we are studying The Victorians as our history topic,

•  We are going to start by finding out what we already know about the Victorians from our reading, television,films or our general knowledge.
•  We are then going to look at who Queen Victoria was, when she was born, when she married and when she died
• .We are going to put these events on a time line and research other key events/inventions which occurred during her lifetime. These key events or facts are also going to be placed on the timeline.

   


We will look  at working conditions, social conditions and housing conditions during Victorian Times.We will look at original sources from the period for our evidence.These original sources are to include newspaper clippings, trial extracts and photographs.
