Assembly in November

This hymn is for our class assembly in November. It is based on a special prayer associated with St.Fracis of Assisi.

verse 1

Make me a channel of peace:
Where there is hatred, let me bring your love,
Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord,
And where there's doubt true faith in you.

verse 2

Make me a channel of peace:
Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope,
Where there is darkness, only light,
And where there's sadness, ever joy.

Chorus

O Master, grant that I may never seek,
So much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood to understand,
To be loved, as to love with all my soul!

verse 3

Make me a channel of your peace:
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
In giving of ourselves that we recieve,
And in dying that we are born to eternal life.

ANCIENT GREECE

This term we are studying Ancient Greece. We are very excited about this topic because our country  hosted the Olympic games this year and Greece is where they were held in ancient times.

To start our work on Ancient Greece we want to compare Greece today with Ancient Greece.

    • Gymnastics
    • Running
    • Rounders
    • Netball

I really enjoyed the first part with Mr Hooper, he was teaching us to throw properly. I stayed for an extra hour and did football.

English literature

We are looking at non - chronological report writing and using the Titanic as a theme.

Here are some interesting facts, take a look.
  • The Titanic was built between 1909 and 1911.
  • Around 900 people worked on the boat.
  • The Titanic had 4 elevators (3 in First class and 1 in Second class).
  • It carried 20 lifeboats and 3560 life jackets. The life jackets were made of canvas and cork.
  • The Titanic sank on April 14th 1912 at 23.40.
  • About 1500 people died on the boat.
Can you think of any other interesting facts?
