This term we are studying The Victorians as our history topic,

  •  We are going to start by finding out what we already know about the Victorians from our reading, television,films or our general knowledge.
  •  We are then going to look at who Queen Victoria was, when she was born, when she married and when she died
  • .We are going to put these events on a time line and research other key events/inventions which occurred during her lifetime. These key events or facts are also going to be placed on the timeline.
   


We will look  at working conditions, social conditions and housing conditions during Victorian Times.We will look at original sources from the period for our evidence.These original sources are to include newspaper clippings, trial extracts and photographs.

We will look  at schools and education in Victorian Times.We will role play a day in the life of a Victorian school pupil .

We will compare and contrast the life of Victorian children with the life of children today.

We will look at famous Victorian people and famous Victorian inventions.

year 5 christmas play

On the 13th December we are peforming the wonderful story of the Saviour`s birth in Church. We will be also doing our Christmas play with year 6. We will be extremely grateful if you attend our Nativity.
